The South Node in Astrology represents your shadows, comfort zone & natural tendencies you need to release in order to evolve & step into your purpose.
The South Node has been trekking through Libra (the sign of relationships) since July 17, 2023 & all shadows around people pleasing, codependency & self sacrificing have surfaced.
But really what these shadow tendencies boil down to is the need to be safe & in control.
Think about it you…
People please to control other people’s perception of you so that you won’t get abandoned
Are codependent because this is how you get your basic & psychological needs met
Self sacrifice because if you put other people’s needs above your own you have perceived love & belonging
But to break out of this & lean into the North Node in Aries … which is about trusting yourself, having constructive self interest & putting yourself first … and this can quite literally threaten your safety & survival
But breaking out of these codependent patterns is required for you to ascend, step into your purpose & self actualize
And the result of you stepping into this liberated ARIES energy of self-interested action, independence & self service (not in a egotistical way but just by prioritizing your needs FIRST)… is the people who BENEFITED from your codependent patterns… having a REACTION & RESPONSE
Which then makes you want to be pulled back into your patterns of people pleasing, self sacrificing & codependency because it again…quite literally THREATENS YOUR SAFETY
So the choices are… a friendship or relationship breakup OR you stay small & continue to self sabotage at the expense of your authentic expression
But to continue to put yourself in a corner & hold yourself back for other people is actually causing internal disharmony & distrust
And let me tell you, YOU don’t want to be the reason you’re not doing big things and having the impact & influence you’re here to have
And this is why there have been SO many friendship, relationship & business partnership break ups this year
Because the Nodes (& eclipses) have been showing you where you’re out of balance, harmony & self sabotaging yourself in your connections
And when you show up to relationships DIFFERENTLY with new standards, boundaries & energy… people will literally POOF out of alignment.
And you will have NO CONTROL over their perception, reaction or fall out
But to make peace with having people be upset with you, villainize you or place blame on you for PRIORITIZING YOU…
Will be the most peaceful, liberated & free you will ever feel
Because you EARN TRUST WITH YOU
And words cannot explain that INTERNAL FEELING
And from here you get to create, attract & align with YOU IN MIND
And come into relationship & connection from a whole, integrated & healed place … and NOT from a place of wounding, needing to be filled or trying to control others to feel safe
