I’m obsessed with Madonna’s queendom, fearlessness, eccentricity, liberation, independence, her willingness to be controversial and taboo, and her radical authenticity. 

Madonna has two stelliums (3 or more planets in a sign) in her birth chart. One in Leo and one in Virgo. 

I knew she had strong Uranus before I even looked at her chart. Uranus is the rebel and it’s in Leo, conjunct (together with) her Sun in Leo. This is literally the embodiment of a Rebel Heart (Leo themes). 

She has Sun, Venus, and Uranus all in Leo in the 12th house. Leos are the royalty and performers of the Zodiac, and she has lots of it. The 12th house rules anything unseen. 

Sun in Leo in the 12th. The Sun is where we express and how we act when we’re repressed. It’s about being seen for who we really are and how we can get validation. For her, self-expression is everything. It’s important to her to be creative, playful, dramatic, willful, and to be seen in her full expression. 

Venus in 12th is devotional, and in Leo, she loves to adore and be adored. Venus in Leo is in love with being in love. Proud, boastful, grand, and dramatic, she thrives on romantic attention and needs lots of it. 

Uranus in Leo is self-confident, creative, and has a strong need to be expressed. Uranus is authentic, independent, autonomous, and where we break the status quo. Uranus is also about going outside the gender binary or hetero-typical norm. It is unpredictable, and conjunct her Sun, she is eccentric, strong-willed, and innovative. She has a strong need for freedom, space, and to go against the norm. People with this placement love to shock people. She is original, futuristic, and impulsive. She revolutionized (Uranus Conjunct Sun) and is known (Leo) for changing sex and sexuality for her entire generation. 

I find a lot of performers have strong Virgo in their charts as they are super detail-oriented. 

Virgo rising. People with Virgo rising are beautiful, acutely aware of their bodies, are detail-oriented, prone to improve, work, and can be hard on themselves. 

Moon in Virgo in 1st house. The Moon represents the body. In Virgo and in the 1st house we see her express herself (Leo needs to express) through her physical body. She wears her heart on her sleeve, loves attention, and is able to express her emotions readily.  

Ruled by Mercury (Virgo rising), her Mercury is in Virgo (conjunct Moon and Pluto) in the 1st. This gives her a shrewd, honest, intelligent mind, known for being entertaining, whimsical, and having unusual ideas. 

With Pluto in the mix, this gives her a strong interest in the occult and taboo areas of life. People with Pluto on the ascendent are intense and powerful and she has the ability to express this power through her voice (Mercury) and body (Moon).
